Het zou minister Jamaloodin wel sieren als hij bij de +A-rating erbij zou vermelden, zoals het rapport ook duidelijk weergeeft, dat de ‘stable outlook’ toe te schrijven is aan de Nederlandse schuldsanering.
Het is een beetje erg kort door de bocht dat deze regering denkt dat zij het zo geweldig doet: ‘The stable outlook on the new issuer ratings on Curaçao reflects our expectation that Curaçao will maintain - and potentially strengthen - its improved government balance sheet as a result of recent debt relief by the Dutch government. External imbalances, which we believe will be difficult to reduce if the global economic outlook deteriorates, offset these improvements.’
